sage for Sage

On the weekend we began preparations for Sage's first birthday {coming up in January - far too quickly for this mumma's liking!} by planting a small 'thank you', a gift for those attending her celebratory afternoon tea.

Nourishing and nurturing these little bundles of life, so that they may grow and they may thrive...

Nourishing sage and nurturing Sage,

So that sage may grow and Sage may thrive.

    1. She is getting so much more confident at standing Mel - until she realises I'm not holding her and then she sits back down again! She's tricky enough to keep up with now, let alone walking :-) x

    1. I truly cannot believe we have started preparations Kate - it ony feels like yesterday that my big, round belly was making moving around a near impossibility! Where has the year gone?! x

    1. I imagine they get quicker every year Lilly. I bet the second birthday of Little Smith has come up at a blindingly fast pace. Take a little longer and let those "baby" cuddles linger... x

  8. What a lovely sentiment! I've seen this idea done before and I thought WOW now there's a gift to remember an occassion by! Enjoy every moment with Sage... Before you know it she'll be planning what she wants for her 5th Birthday! My Sunny has been doing that for 3 months now. It's adorable to see how social they become and what freinds mean to them :)

    1. I try and cherish every second Sophie. I'm definitely not one of those who wishes for the next stage to come sooner. I bet it only feels like yesterday that sweet Sunny was only a little babe. I can already see Sage may be a social little butterfly. She just loves other children {but currently tries to pull their hair and poke their eyes!} x

  12. Thanks :) She would look adorable! Yes I could post to Australia, I think courier would be the safest option (about $25(NZ) (2-6 working days) - Tracked, Signature required. But it would cost more for postage than the dress! Keep an eye out on my fb page and let me know if anything catches your eye x

    2. That's true! Actually - I've got two, sheesh talk about over-extending myself!

One is a mix of my photography and some other bits and pieces at Bruce's in Wynyard (it's a progressive installation starting most likely sometime next week) and the other is some of my Small Town Series shots at ArtsCape in Wynyard. That's on the 20th of December - it's part of the Made With Love twilight Christmas market, 45 Jackson St from 6pm, lots of lovely stalls + food, drink, entertainment - am I selling it well enough?!

It's funny - I was pleased with the shots I chose for the second one at ArtsCape, but now that I've been on the Nursery workshop, I'd have loved to have gone around and had a second go at them but it's too late now! :/

    3. Wow! That is so incredibly exciting! You should be so proud of yourself honey :-) I'll definitely check our your amazing work - you sold the Made With Love market to me ;-) I'm sure that even though you uncovered some incredible skills at The Nursery, your pieces will be perfect x
