Due Date

A year ago today, we were so eagerly anticipating your arrival... into our arms and into our hearts Little One. Your 'due date' came yet passed us by, without even the slightest acknowledgement that you may perhaps be on your way.

I cherished those final days, those days of just you and I. Bonded and connected, our hearts in unison. Dreaming, imagining... just who is this little Sage? What will she look like? Who will she become?

Even before you laid eyes upon the sun... the stars... the earth, you were already teaching me the virtue of patience. My unborn beauty, preparing me for my mothering journey ahead.

Persevere Mumma - just a little longer. I know you're uncomfortable. I know you're excited.

Endure the ride...

I promise I'm worth it.

  1. These photos! You are simply stunning. I only hope to look this patient, beautiful and glowing near the end of it all - pregnancy is such an indescribable feeling, isn't it? (Will be bookmarking this for inspiration when I'm exhausted and cranky at 40 weeks!)

  3. Simply beautiful! Such a breathtakingly beautiful time...especially those last few days. I adored being pregnant and could (and most likely will) do it all again in a heartbeat. Wishing you gorgeous days with your precious one thinking about her journey into this world and the brilliance she brought into yours. :) x

  8. Oh beautiful. I cherished those last few weeks, days too...I was almost a week overdue before Saskia came. We were going to have the induction talk with my midwife the very next day, but my contractions started at midnight. Patience, yes. They know when to make the journey x
