Alby - darling boy, much of your time has been spent here lately, as we try our hardest to get you well again.
It's been a little quiet here for the past week. You may have spotted on Instagram that Alby has, once again, been very unwell. Suffering from persistent urinary tract infections since he was only weeks old, he finally underwent scans in hospital last Friday, revealing urinary reflux in his right kidney. And the irony of these scans? They have flared up yet another infection {his most severe to date}, meaning soaring temperatures, vomiting and ridiculous amounts of medication. There's talk of more catheters, IV anti biotics and surgery, but for now, we're taking it hour by hour, urine sample by urine sample...

ReplyDeleteOh Anna, my heart breaks for you reading this. I can't imagine the stress you're under seeing your little darling so unwell ... I'm sure you know this, but you can take lots of infection fighting/immune boosting supplement that'll get to Alby through the milk (cod liver oil, vit d3 etc). Sending you love, and hoping for a full recovery. Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteOh the poor wee chap, that's awful news. How distressing for all of you. Hope Alby gets over this latest hurdle very quickly and you can come home soon.
