52/52 {The Couldn't Decide Edition}

A portrait of my little wren, once a week, every week, in 2013

Sage - an entire year's worth of capturing your essence each and every week, and, for the first time, I simply could not decide between these two images as your final, stand alone portrait. Taken only minutes apart, just a few days before Christmas, you are wild and disheveled with a cheeky glint in you eye, as you help your Daddy dig and cart away dirt for your new, in-ground trampoline {delivered by Santa}.

Looking back on your portraits, those small moments captured throughout a year that has seemingly passed us by so quickly, I am bewildered by your growth and change. We've witnessed you blossom from our sweet, wee baby to a vivacious, spirited toddler, with each weekly photograph subtly unveiling this dramatic transformation.

Already in the process of compiling your 2013 images into a photo book, your Daddy and I recently sat and shared our favourite portraits from the 52 project journey. We both absolutely adore 1 and 19 with Daddy's other personal favourites being 7, 38 and 46, whilst mine are 4, 6, 32 and 43.

As we delve head first into the new year in just a matter of days {!}, I will continue to capture your childhood and your story through the joy that is 'a portrait a week'.

  2. What adorably cheeky portraits to end the year. I do remember number 19 as being my favourite too :)
